Anna C. “Cassie” Wildey, 87 of Scottdale, passed away, Saturday, July 23, 2016 in Excela Frick Hospital, Mt. Pleasant. She was born July 17, 1929 in East Huntingdon Township a daughter of the late Charles and Millicent (Weaver) Kuhns.
Cassie was a loving homemaker and a graduate of Scottdale High School Class of 1947. She had been employed as cook and waitress at the Mt. Pleasant Firemen’s Club, and a cook for the Bullskin Elementary School and at the Scottdale Firemen’s Club. She was also a member of Pennsville United Methodist Church. Cassie was an avid Black & Gold fan of the Steelers and Penguins, but she was especially fond of the Pittsburgh Pirates.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Charles J. Wildey; a daughter, Susan Wildey; a grandson, Bobby Wildey; a step-daughter, Carolyn Armstrong and a step-son, Charles “Butch” Wildey.
She is survived by her five children, Gerald Wildey (Lynda); David Wildey (Lee); Edward Wildey (Stacey); Cathy Ann Wildey; Jeffrey Wildey (Vicki); eight grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren; a brother, Gerald Kuhns (Betty); and a stepdaughter, Joann Nash.
Family and friends will be received on Tuesday from 2-4 & 6-8 pm at GRAFT-JACQUILLARD FUNERAL & CREMATION SERVICES, INC. 303 Pittsburgh Street, Scottdale where her funeral service will be held on Wednesday at 10 am with Rev. Dr. Martin Watson and Rev. Douglas Johnson co-officiating. Interment will follow in Westmoreland County Memorial Park.
