Betty Schroyer

Betty Ruth Schroyer, 83 of Ruffs Dale, passed away Wednesday, October 5, 2022.  She was born May 16, 1939 in Connellsville a daughter of the late John and Hazel Pearl (Halfhill) Stillwagon.

Betty was a loving and devoted homemaker to her family.  She was a caring person and always put others needs before hers.  She was a member of Mt. Olive Evangelical Church, Connellsville and a member of the Bullskin Township Fire Dept. Ladies Auxiliary.  She loved spending time with her grandchildren, sewing and playing scrabble.  She had also been a Girl Scout Leader and was a member of a local Ladies Card Club.

She is survived by her loving daughter, Becky Snyder; two grandsons, Zachary Harshbarger (Brittany) and Joshua Harshbarger (Amber); two great-grandchildren, Sorin and Lilianna and one great-grandchild to be born, and several nieces and nephews and her buddies Maggy Girl and Bootsie.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Ralph J. “Sneezy” Snyder, her second husband, Arthur M. Schroyer, an infant son, Robert Edmond and two brothers J. Harrold and Forrest Stillwagon, her two beloved pets Charlie and Muffin.

Family and friends are welcome on Monday from 2-4 & 6-8 pm at GRAFT-JACQUILLARD FUNERAL & CREMATION SERVICES, INC. 303 Pittsburgh St. Scottdale where services will be held Tuesday at 1 pm with Pastor Lee Maley officiating.  Interment will follow in Mt. Olive Cemetery, Bullskin Township.  In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the family to assist with expenses.  The Bullskin Township FD Ladies Auxiliary will conduct a memorial service on Monday at 7  pm in the funeral home.  Online condolences are welcome at www.gjfuneral.com
