Calvin E. Miller, 91, of Mount Pleasant passed away peacefully at his home on August 10, 2017, surrounded by family.
He was born on May 17, 1926, in Yukon, a son of the late H.F. Miller and Anna (Bollinger) Miller.
He was predeceased by his wife, Evelyn Wadsworth Miller, and his older siblings Elda Ferguson, Carl Miller, Kenneth Miller, Catherine Penman, Eva Hajak, Dorothy Bradish, and Robert Miller.
He is survived by his children Dean (Carol) Miller, Cindy (Jack) Obruba, Jennie (Gary) Miller, Kathy (Tim) Fretts, Danny (Lisa) Miller, 12 grandchildren and 21 great grandchildren.
Calvin was employed as a machinist at DME for 24 years and was the owner and operator of Miller Farm Supply for many years. Farming was his passion. “Old Pap on the Farm” was happiest when he was driving a tractor or building hay wagons, but especially when all four generations were gathered together. He leaves a legacy of a strong work ethic and love of family.
Family and friends are welcome on Thursday, Aug 17 from 2-4 & 6-8 pm at GRAFT-JACQUILLARD FUNERAL & CREMATION SERVICES, INC. 303 Pittsburgh St. Scottdale where Calvin’s funeral service will be held Friday, Aug 18 at 11:00 A.M. with Pastor Robert H. Bixel of Pennsville Baptist Church officiating. Interment will follow in Greenlick Cemetery.
