Charles Whetsel, Sr.

Charles W. Whetsel, Sr, 82 of Mt. Pleasant passed away, Tuesday, May 3, 2022.  He was born March 12, 1940 in Springfield Township a son of the late Charles J. and Marie Whetsel.

Mr. Whetsel worked as a welder for various steel plants.  He was a longtime trustee for the Mt. Tabor Cemetery and he enjoyed hunting and fishing.  Charles also enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

He is survived by his children, Debra Neighbors (Donald), Charles Whetsel, Jr (Cindy), Mark Whetsel (Stacy), Kimberly Burke (Rick), Matthew Baker (Angela) and Traci Roscoe (Robert), and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and his special cat, Midnight.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother Richard Gravett.

The family would like to thank the staff of Amedisys Home Care and a special thanks to Heidi Lowery and Dr. Ed Pohodich for their care and attention.

Family and friends are welcome on Thursday from 3 to 8 pm at GRAFT-JACQUILLARD FUNERAL & CREMATION SERVICES, INC. 303 Pittsburgh St. Scottdale where services will be held Friday at 10 am.  Private interment will take place in Mt. Tabor Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Mt.
