Edward Kring

Edward B. Kring, 77, of Scottdale, passed away, Thursday February 11, 2010 at his home. He was born April 29, 1932 in Owensdale a son of the late Clarence and Bertha Walker Kring. Mr. Kring was a general contractor and operated PJ Kring Remodeling. He was a veteran of the Korean conflict serving with the US Army. He was a life member of the Everson VFW and was a member of the Scottdale Moose Club, the Mt. Pleasant American Legion and was an honorary member of the Scottdale Volunteer Fire Dept. He is survied by his wife, Jane (Leasure) Kring; his three children, Susan Kring, M.D. of Hendersonville, NC; Ron Kring and his wife Allison of Scottdale and Jasen Kring and his wife Stacey of Scottdale; three grandchildren, Heather Kring; Blaine Kring and his wife Michelle and Emily Kring; his sisters and brother, Anna Mae Myers of Owensdale; Harry "Skinny" Kring and his wife Ann of Scottdale and Ethel Benedict and her husband Phil of Mt. Pleasant and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by the following brothers and sisters, Lester, Frank Ralph and Howard Kring; Goldie Christner, Viola Shipley and Hazel Hetzel. Family and friends will be received on Saturday from 6-8 pm and Sunday from 2-4 & 6-8 pm at GRAFT-JACQUILLARD FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICES, INC. 303 Pittsburgh St. Scotdale (724-887-7110 where funeral services will be held Monday at 11 am in the funeral home Interment will follow in the Scottdale Cemetery with military honors bestowed by Mt. Pleasant American Legion Post 446.
