Howard Joseph Gillott

Howard Joseph Gillott, 80 of Connellsville, passed away Friday, July 12, 2024. He was born October 28, 1943 in Bullskin Township a son of the late Herman and Elizabeth (Landy) Gillott.

Howard was a graduate of Connellsville High School and received a degree in electrical engineering from the University of Pittsburgh. He had been employed as an electrical engineer for Westinghouse. Howard was a longtime and faithful member of the Partner Parish of St. John the Baptist Church, Scottdale.

He is survived by his two children, Marianne J. Pouliot and her husband, Roland J.; his son H. Justin Gillott and his wife, Sara-Jane C. Gillott; he was Pap to his grandchildren, Anthony and Jacob Pouliot and Nora and Mara Gillott; a sister Grace Gillott and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Nancy J. Gillott on January 17, 2019, a sister, Lenora Gillott and a brother Donald Gillott.

Family and friends are invited to attend Howard’s funeral Mass on Monday July 15 at 10 am in St. John the Baptist RC Church, 504 S. Broadway St. Scottdale. Interment will take place in St. John’s Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Regional Family YMCA of Laurel Highlands 490 Bessemer Road, Mt. Pleasant, PA 15666.
