John M. “Jack” Bluhm, 81 of Mt. Pleasant, formerly of Scottdale, passed away, Wednesday, August 21, 2024. He was born June 8,1943 in South Bend, IN a son of the late John and Frances (Kendall) Bluhm.
Jack was a long-time and respected educator having taught chemistry at Norwin High School and completed his career as a teacher at Geibel Catholic High School, Connellsville. He graduated from WVU and received his Master’s degree from Brown University. Jack was a man of deep faith in God and lived life as a faithful Christian. He attended Pennsville Baptist Church and Rejoicing Beyond Ministries.
He is survived by his sister, Dian Bluhm Brown, his nieces and nephews, Marion Soberdash (Troy) and family, Shea and Josh; Amber Miller (Joe) and family, Greta and Amanda; John Reese; Coleman Reese (Emily) and family, Elliot and Molly; Kirby Reese (Lori) and family, Tyler, Chloe and Eli.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 51 years, Anne (Nichols) Bluhm on May 9, 2020 and his sister, Wilma B. Reese.
The family wishes to acknowledge the staff of Greene Health and Rehab and Bridges Hospice for their care and concern.
In keeping with Jack’s wishes, there will be no public services. Arrangements are in the care of GRAFT-JACQUILLARD FUNERAL & CREMATION SERVICES, INC., Scottdale. Those who wish may make a contribution to a charity of one’s choice in his memory. Online condolences are welcome at www.gjfuneral.com
