John Heisterman

John Joseph “Jack” Heisterman, Sr. 75 of Dickerson Run, passed away, Monday, May 1, 2018.  He was born June 15, 1942 in Connellsville a son of the late James E. Heisterman, Sr. and Pauline (Keffer) Heisterman Porterfield.

Jack was employed as a craftsman in the construction industry and held position of superintendent on several large construction projects.  He was a member of the Dunbar Township Lions Club and enjoyed fishing, hunting, bowling, golfing and billiards all of which he was talented at.

In addition to his parents, Jack was widowed twice, preceded in death by Ella Mae Heisterman and Gail Heisterman and his brother, James Earl Heisterman, Jr.

He is survived by his two sons, John Joseph Heisterman, Jr and his wife Erica of Williamsburg, VA and James Allen Heisterman and his wife Linda of Deland, FL; four grandchildren, Kelsey, Jessica, James Ian and Ronan Von Heisterman and a great-grandson, Jaxson Joseph Heisterman; his siblings, William Heisterman (Sara); Marilyn Banko; Arthur Heisterman and Ralph Heisterman (Sharon) and numerous nieces and nephews.

All are invited to attend Jack’s memorial service on Saturday, May 5 at 11 am in the Vanderbilt Church of Christ with the Rev. Greg Pelc officiating.  The family would like to extend a word of thanks to the ICU nursing staff at Frick Hospital for the compassion and care they provided Jack.  In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Vanderbilt Church of Christ.  Arrangements are in the care of GRAFT-JACQUILLARD FUNERAL & CREMATION SERVICES, INC. 303 Pittsburgh St. Scottdale.   To share condolences, please visit www.gjfuneral.com.
