Joseph T. Kozar, 76, of Scottdale passed away peacefully, Thursday, July 2, 2015 at his home. He was born March 12, 1939 in Mt. Pleasant a son of the late John and Mary (Sebeck) Kozar.
Joe worked as a machinist in the tool and die industry last working for General Nuclear. He was a veteran of the US Marines and was affiliated with Trinity United Methodist Church Scottdale. He was also a member of the Mt. Pleasant VFW. Joe enjoyed spending his spare time riding his Harley, his quad, and other activities he shared with his wife, Linda.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brothers, John, Bob, and Kenny Kozar and his sister, Veronica Valentovish.
Joe is survived by his loving and devoted wife, Linda J. "Shortie" (Giseburt) Kozar; two children, Kevin Kozar and his wife Paula of Fayette City and Karen Greene and her husband Michael of Tampa, FL; five grandchildren, Mackenzie, Zachary, Zane, Lily and Ed and several nieces and nephews.
Family & friends are invited to attend Joe's memorial service on Saturday, August 1, 2015 at 3:30 pm in TRINITY UNITED METHODIST CHURCH, 501 Mulberry St., Scottdale. The Rev. Harry R. Speakman will officiate.
