Louise Koza

Louise A. Koza, 88 of Gilbert, Arizona formerly of Scottdale, (Upper Tyrone Township), passed away, Sunday, August 22, 2021.

She was born August 17, 1933 in Everson a daughter of the late Peter and Martha (Czerniak) Stempniak.

Louise was a former longtime member of St. Joseph R.C. Parish in Everson.  During her working career, she had been employed at PennLine Service, Scottdale; United Auto Workers Union, Mt. Pleasant; St. Rita Parish, Connellsville; and Upper Tyrone Township, Everson.

Louise most enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.  She liked cooking family dinners, baking, canning and watching baseball.

She is survived by her family, which includes, her two children, Mary Ellen Teich and her husband Bruce of Gilbert, AZ and John Koza and his wife Kathy of Lago Vista, TX; her grandchildren, Zach Teich (Tram), Apache Junction, AZ; Erin Kurilla (Brian), Gilbert, AZ; Matthew Teich (Kristen), Morgantown, WV; Joshua Teich, Augusta, GA; Johnny Koza (Michelle), Algonquin, IL; and Kristin and Patrick Teich both of Gilbert, AZ; her great-grandchildren, Blaise, Grace and Philip Teich; Maximilian, Luke, Gianna, Ignatius, Simon, Gemma and Cyprian Kurilla; Carter Koza and Mary Lisa Teich; her siblings, Eileen Koza of Garfield Heights, OH and Thomas Stempniak (Barbara) of Westland, MI.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Francis M. “Frank” Koza on July 31, 2014, and a brother, Leo Stempniak

A funeral Mass was celebrated on Monday, August 30, 2021 at St. Anne Parish, Gilbert, AZ. Interment took place in St. Joseph Parish Cemetery, Everson with a private service for family.  In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Anne Parish Friends of the Needy 440 E. Elliot Rd, Gilbert, AZ 85234.
