Mary A. Kinter, 94 of Scottdale, formerly of Bainbridge, NY and Mt. Holly, NJ, passed away, Saturday, November 23, 2019 in Excela Westmoreland Hospital, Greensburg.
She was born January 9, 1925 in Unadilla, NY a daughter of the late Raymond Royce Aldrich and Alta Ruling Aldrich.
Mary was a loving homemaker tending to the needs of her family. Mary was active with the United Methodist Women where she served as an officer for the local and district chapters, as well as, a lay representative to the Conference. She also enjoyed reading.
She is survived by her loving family, which includes her four children; Rev. Thomas Kinter (Joanne); Michael Kinter (Cindy); Cynthia Kinter; and Christopher Kinter (Michelle); eight grandchildren, Thomas Jason Kinter, Kenneth Kinter, Kerri Kinter, Jeff and Tia McMullen, Ty Kinter, Matthew and Noah Kinter and 11 great-grandchildren, Tommy, Jennifer and Gavin Kinter; Benjamin, Elias, Jonah, Olivia and Eleanor Kinter; Ethan McMullen; Camryn and Ta'layniee McMullen.
In addition to her parents, Mary was preceded in death by her first husband Archie Homer Vail in 1944; her second husband, Major Kenneth Everett Kinter in 1976, a son, Kenneth Kinter, Jr; a sister, Beatrice Taft and two brothers, infant Howard R. Aldrich and Raymond Royce Aldrich, Jr.
At Mary’s request, there will be no public viewing. Services will be private at the convenience of the family. Final resting place will be in the Green Lawn Cemetery, Bainbridge, NY. Memorials may be made in Mary’s name to Masonville United Methodist Church of Mt. Laurel, NJ or the Fisher House Foundation of Rockville, MD
