Mary Jane Riley, 86, of Scottdale, passed away Saturday, October 15, 2011 in Westmoreland Manor. She was born April 13, 1925 in Scottdale a daughter of the late Clayton L. and Edna B. (Fretts) Uber.
Mary Jane was retired from National City Bank, Scottdale where she was employed as operations officer. She was a graduate of Scottdale High School and Duffs Business School. She was a longtime member of Trinity Reformed United Church of Christ, Scottdale where she served as organist for over 30 years. Mary Jane was a member and past matron of Order of the Eastern Star Chapter 383; the White Shrine, the Scottdale Women's Garden Club; Saturday Afternoon Club and the DAR Braddock Trail Chapter.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband William G. Riley and a brother, Clayton L. Uber, Jr.
She is survived by her sister, Grace Johnson and her husband Carl of Scottdale and many nieces and nephews of the Uber, Johnson and Riley families, as well as, several great nieces and nephews.
Family and friends are welcome on Monday from 2 -4 & 7-9 pm at GRAFT-JACQUILLARD FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICES, INC. 303 Pittsburgh St., Scottdale, 724-887-7110 (An Authorized Remembrance Provider), where funeral services will be held Tuesday at 10:30 am in the funeral home with her pastor, the Rev. Jeffrey A. Welsh officiating. Interment will follow in Scottdale Cemetery. The Order of Eastern Star will conduct a memorial service on Monday at 7 pm in the funeral home.
