Melvin Malik, Jr

Melvin L. "Lenn" Malik, Jr, 68 of Scottdale (Kingview) passed away, Wednesday, August 19, 2015 at his home surrounded by his loving family. He was born October 15, 1946 in Mt. Pleasant a son of Melvin L. Malik, Sr and Dolores (Corvin) Malik.

Lenn was previously employed as a journeyman mechanic repairing industrial heavy equipment. He was also a veteran serving during the Vietnam era in the US Air Force. He was most notably known for his gift of auto repair and attention to detail in the restoration of classic automobiles for which he received national awards. Lenn shared the hobby of auto repair, restoration and fabrication with his father, Melvin, Sr. He was a proud owner of a 1967 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray and was a member of the Westmoreland County Corvette Club of America and the Vintage Chevrolet Club of America. His hobbies also included camping and ATV's. Most of all, Lenn was kind-hearted and always willing to lend a hand to family and friends. His kindness and hearty laugh always made him the life of the party.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by his loving and devoted wife, Elizabeth "Betsy" (Sturtz) Malik whom he married October 4, 1980; his sisters, Darla Loucks and Lori Wiltrout and husband, Tim; several nieces and nephews including, Beth Morris, Erin Jones, Jake Wiltrout, Michele Ferguson, Jaime and Matthew Sturtz, Caran Hayes and Robyn Troetschel; his mother in law, Emma Jean Sturtz and his special buddy, "Stella."

Family and friends are welcome on Friday from 6-8 pm and Saturday from 2-4 & 6-8 pm at GRAFT-JACQUILLARD FUNERAL & CREMATION SERIVCES, INC. 303 Pittsburgh St. Scottdale where his funeral service will be held on Sunday at 1:30 pm with Rev. Peter Malik and Rev. Robert H. Bixel co-officiating. Interment will follow in the Scottdale Cemetery. If desired, memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, E.
