Nancy L. Eicher, 86, of Scottdale, passed away, Tuesday, April 28, 2015 in Excela Frick Hospital, Mt. Pleasant, surrounded by her loving family. She was born February 19, 1929 in Connellsville a daughter of the late Carl and June (Bird) Peterson.
Nancy was a graduate of East Huntingdon High School Class of 1947 and was a member of St. Paul's Evangelical Lutheran Church, Scottdale. Prior to her retirement, she had been employed at the former Integra Bank, Scottdale. Nancy was a loving mother and grandmother always caring for her family.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Cortney Eicher; a brother in law, Harvey Diekroeger.
She is survived by her four children, Rebecca Lee Eicher; William R. Eicher, Jr and his companion Kay Rollison; Robert Bruce Eicher and his wife Regina and Samuel R. Eicher; three grandchildren, Robert Eicher, Jr; and Ashley and Brittani Eicher; two sisters, Joanne Diekroeger ; Linda Ruth and husband William; a brother, Thomas Peterson and wife Jane and several nieces and nephews.
Family and friends will be received on Thursday from 2-4 & 6-9 pm at GRAFT-JACQUILLARD FUNERAL & CREMATION SERVICES, INC. 303 Pittsburgh St. Scottdale, and Friday from 10 until 11 am the hour of her funeral service with Pastor Daniel Clark. Interment will follow in the Scottdale Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials to St. Paul's Lutheran Church 600 Mulberry St. Scottdale, PA 15683.
