Patricia K. Brilhart, 84, of Scottdale, passed away, Thursday, December 3, 2009 in Excela Health Frick Hospital, Mt. Pleasant. She was born December 9, 1924 in Youngwood a daughter of the late Lloyd and Ruth (Thompson) Simpson.
Years ago, Mrs. Brilhart was employed by the former Robertshaw Control Co., of New Stanton. She was a loving homemaker, mother and grandmother and enjoyed crocheting. She was a faithful member of the First Assembly of God Church, Scottdale where she attended the adult Sunday School.
She is survived by her loving daughter, Donna Hixenbaugh and her husband Mike of Perryopolis; she was the proud grandmother of Brian M. Hixenbaugh and wife Jen of Lower Burrell; Joel A. Hixenbaugh and wife Tiffany of Belle Vernon and Allison L. Glumac and husband Cam of Grindstone; she was the great-grandmother of a great-grandchild soon to be born; also surviving is a brother, Ivan Simpson of Youngwood.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Clifford A. Brilhart in 1991; four brothers, Lloyd, James, Donald and Richard Simpson and a sister, Margaret Ruth (Peggy) Simpson.
Family and friends are welcome on Sunday from 2-4 & 6-8 pm at GRAFT-JACQUILLARD FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICES, INC. 303 Pittsburgh St., Scottdale, (724-887-7110). Additional visitation will be held in the First Assembly of God Church, Elm & Jennings Streets, Scottdale on Monday from 10-11 am. Funeral service at 11 am with Pastor Domer Snyder officiating. Interment will follow in the Scottdale Cemetery.
