Petty Kring

Petty Jane Kring, 84, of Scottdale, passed away, Thursday, December 8, 2016 in Excela Frick Hospital, Mt. Pleasant.  She was born September 17, 1932 in Upper Tyrone Township a daughter of the late William and Pansey Mae (Crago) Leasure.

Mrs. Kring had been employed as a bindry worker with the former Laurel Group Newspapers. She enjoyed polkas, reading the newspaper and puzzles.  Petty looked forward to community events, including, the (former) Scottdale Heritage Festival, local parades, and bus trips.

She is survived by her three children, Susan Kring, M.D., of Hendersonville, NC; Ron Kring and his wife Allison of Old Saybrook, CT; and Jasen Kring and his wife Stacey of Scottdale; four grandchildren, Heather Fazzi and husband Stephen; Blaine Kring and wife Michelle and Emily Gerken and husband Gary and Brody Kring; two great-grandchildren, Elijah Kring and Anthony Fazzi; a brother, Edward Leasure and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Edward B. Kring; a brother, William (Junior) Leasure and four sisters, Dorothy Petko, Darlene Hawkins, Leona Corley and Beatrice Fesh.

Family and friends are welcome on Sunday from 4 to 7 pm at GRAFT-JACQUILLARD FUNERAL & CREMATION SERVICES, INC. 303 Pittsburgh Street, Scottdale where her funeral service will be held Monday at 10:30 am with Pastor Roy Butt officiating.  Interment will follow in the Scottdale Cemetery.
