Philip F. “Huzzy” Husband, 81 of Ruffs Dale, passed away, Monday, September 17, 2018 at Excela Frick Hospital, Mt. Pleasant. He was born September 22, 1936 in Ruffs Dale a son of the late Jesse and Olive (Fry) Husband.
Huzzy, as he was known by many, was employed as a mechanic with Montgomery Ward. He had also previously owned the Esso Service Station in Ruffs Dale and took pride in his care and knowledge of the Mt. Lebanon Cemetery, Tarrs, where he served as caretaker. He also enjoyed hunting and was a fan of the Pittsburgh Pirates and Steelers.
He is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 30 years, Brenda L. (Trout) Husband; his four sons, Jeffrey P. Rhodes (Traci), John Rhodes, Bob Ferrari (Julie) and Josh Husband (Brittney Lehman); his grandchildren, Amber and Ashley Rhodes, Samantha and Kyle Rhodes, Zoe Carson, Ty Husband (his best buddy), Isabella Ferrari and Lilly, Thayer and Carter Husband and several nieces and nephews. He was the last surviving member of his immediate family.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Joseph Rhodes, three brothers, Jesse, George and David Husband and six sisters, Martha Husband, Eva Grace Butler, Maude Ruth Gunther, Dorothea Matthes, Esther Shearer and his infant twin sister, Phyllis.
