Richard Felton

May 16, 1945 — April 24, 2016

Richard D. Felton, 70 of Hunker, passed away peacefully Sunday, April 24, 2016 at his home.  He was born, May 16, 1945 in Somerset a son of the late Dale M.E. and C. Louise (Sargent) Felton.

Richard retired from Versatech, Inc. in Delmont and was a graduate of East Huntingdon High School.  He enjoyed hunting and camping and served as a high school soccer official for 25 years for PA West and also for the Mt. Pleasant, Scottdale and Hempfield Soccer Clubs.  He attended the New Stanton Alliance Church and was a Vietnam veteran serving in the United States Marine Corps.

Richard is survived by his devoted wife, Diane R. (Fleming) Felton; his two children, Rachel D. Felton and her fiancé, Ryan Hagler; Nathaniel R. Felton and his wife Felicia; grandsons, Puller R. Felton and Mason Lee Felton; a step-grandson, Jackson Hagler; his siblings, Nevin Felton (Lori); Patty Sheets (Bill); Diana Hardy (Randy); Gloria “Peanuts” Halfhill (Garry) and Cindy Sebek (Frank); several nieces and nephews and his father and mother in law, Leonard and Ruth Fleming.

There will be no public visitation. Private interment will take place in the Dickerson Run Union Cemetery with military honors.  Family and friends are invited to Richard’s memorial service on Saturday, April 30, 2016 at 1:00 pm in  the New Stanton Alliance Church 815 S.  Center Ave, New Stanton, PA 15672 with Pastor Dan Borchert officiating.  Arrangements are in the care of GRAFT-JACQUILLARD FUNERAL & CREMATION SERVICES, INC 303 Pittsburgh St. Scottdale.   In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Western Pa. Wounded Warriors at www.pawoundedwarriors.org or a personal contribution to help with medical expenses .
