Robert Leonard

Robert F. Leonard, 75 of Mt. Pleasant passed away, Saturday, December 31, 2022.  He was born February 16, 1947 in Scottdale a son of the late JD Leonard and Dorothy (Stoner) Leonard.

Bob had been employed as a machine operator by the Modulus Corporation, Powerex, and later as a Walmart department manager.  He and his late wife Jean also operated the Corner Bookstore in Scottdale for over twenty years.  He most recently worked as a vendor at Janford and Sons Emporium in Mt. Pleasant.  During his retirement, Bob enjoyed picking at local auctions and yard sales.  He was a member of the former Harvest Church (now the Mt. Pleasant Church of God).  Bob was an avid Pittsburgh Steelers fan and was known for his collection of memorabilia.

Bob is survived by his son, Chris Leonard and his wife Cynthia, two grandsons, Grant and Jack Leonard; his brothers, Ken Leonard and Tim Leonard and his wife Sandy, his sisters, Marianne Leonard, Grace Ware and Carolyn Maloy and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his loving wife of 48 years  Jean (Weisel) Leonard and two brothers Bill and John Leonard.

There will be no public visitation. Family and friends are invited to Bob’s memorial service on January 29, 2023 at 12:30 pm at the Mt. Pleasant Church of God 936 W. Main St. Mt. Pleasant, PA with Pastor Rob Allison officiating.  In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Mt. Pleasant Church of God.  Online condolences are welcome at www.gjfuneral.com
