Roy Lynch

Roy E. "Gene" Lynch, 89, of Scottdale, passed away Friday, April 29, 2022. He was born July 15, 1932, in Scottdale, a son of the late Roy A. and Sara (Willard) Lynch.

Roy retired from U.S. Steel Irvin works with 44 years of service. He was a veteran of the Army and a 60-year member of Masonic Lodge No. 562. Roy was always generous and supported many causes for the benefit of others. He was a member of the NRA and enjoyed trapshooting, fishing and hunting.

He is survived by his four loving daughters, Betsy Beal (Duane), Susan Lohr, Sherry Orsargos (Darrin) and Jeanne Cavanaugh (David); a special family friend, Duke Lohr; and 11 grandchildren and fifteen great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 51 years, Etta C. Lynch; a son-in-law, Harold Beal; his brother, James Edward Lynch; and by his beloved pet, Duchess.

Family and friends are welcome from 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Monday from at GRAFT-JACQUILLARD FUNERAL AND CREMATION SERVICES INC., 303 Pittsburgh St., Scottdale, PA 15683. A graveside service and interment will take place at 1 p.m. in the Wesley Chapel Cemetery, East Huntingdon Township, with the Rev. Neil Stevens officiating.
