William Patrick Platt, 75, of Scottdale, passed away peacefully, Saturday, January 25, 2014 in Excela Frick Hospital, Mt. Pleasant. He was born January 24, 1939 in Elkhart, Indiana a son of the late William Lester and Virginia Ruth (Sanner) Platt.
William was a longtime resident of Scottdale. Early in life he was employed at Westmoreland Manor, Greensburg. He enjoyed spending time outdoors hunting ginseng and listening to sports and country music.
He will be sadly missed by his brothers, John Platt and wife Susan of Mt. Pleasant; Bud Platt and wife Wanda; Roger Platt and wife Debbie of Latrobe; his sisters, Wilma Pritts and husband Fred of Dawson and Sara Overly and husband Bill of Dickerson Run; he will also be missed by his devoted caregivers Rob Vernon and Shirley Zaffina of Scottdale and many others who knew William.
